Media Center Operation

The Emuzed Angel Dual TV Tuner card working under Microsoft's Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 operating system allows the user to watch 1 TV program while capturing another. For more information on how to use the Emuzed Angel Dual TV Tuner card under MCE, please refer to the documentation provided with the operating system.


Raw Audio and Video Capture

Using the Emuzed Angel Dual TV Tuner card together with Microsoft's Movie Maker, the user can capture a raw audio and/or video stream for editing or viewing at a later date.

note.gif (1135 bytes) NOTE: Your audio and video source MUST be connected to Channel 1 (VID IN 1 and AUD IN 1)
on the Emuzed Angel Dual TV Tuner card in order to perform a raw audio and video capture with this card.
  1. Start the Movie Maker application.
  2. Under the Capture Video task, select "Capture from video device".
    This will bring up the "Video Capture Wizard: Angel MPEG Device" window.
  3. Under Available Devices, you will see 2 devices called; "Angel MPEG Device".
    Each device represents 1 channel on the Angel Dual TV Tuner card.
  4. Select 1 of the 2 video devices.
  5. note.gif (1135 bytes) NOTE: Since only 1 device can be used for capture under Movie Maker
    an error message will appear if the wrong device is selected.
    Simply click "OK" to close the message window and select the other device.
  6. For audio, select the "Angel Audio" device.
    note.gif (1135 bytes) NOTE: When capturing with Movie Maker, no audio will be heard while a
    capture or preview is in progress. However, even though no audio is
    heard, the captured video will contain audio.
